Hamed Wardak is a visionary entrepreneur who enjoys building innovative startup companies. He devotes most of his time to his latest venture, Ludus, a Miami lifestyle apparel brand that promotes philanthropy.
From 2002-2003 Mr. Wardak was the Afghan Finance Minister’s Private Envoy to the United States. From 2004-2005 he served as a Managing Director for International Technologists, Inc., a US Government contracting firm that became active in Afghanistan under his leadership. In that role he generated $44 million in design-build contracts in Afghanistan through his business development efforts with USAID and the Department of Defense, exponentially increasing the company’s annual revenue of $1 million. In 2006 Mr. Wardak founded NCL Holdings, an international logistics and professional services firm. Under his leadership, NCL was awarded a $360 million US Government contract. Through this contract NCL indirectly employed over 600 Afghan nationals in the trucking and security sectors.
In his early career, Hamed Wardak worked in mergers and acquisitions at Merrill Lynch in New York, NY and Palo Alto, CA. His assignments ranged in value from $200 million to $1 billion, and included Avaya’s acquisition of VPNET and Veeco Instruments’ acquisition of Applied Epi.
