Hamed Wardak is a successful philanthropist and entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Ludus, a Miami based lifestyle and apparel brand. He is also the founder of NCL Holdings, an international logistics and professional services firm. Mr. Wardak has held senior positions with international companies such as Technologists, Inc. and Merrill Lynch, and served as the Afghan finance minister’s private envoy to the United States from 2002-2003. In 1997 Mr. Wardak graduated as Valedictorian of Georgetown University, where he earned a BA in Government and Political Theory. He was elected a Rhodes Scholar and read for the M. Phil in Politics at the University of Oxford. He is fluent in both Dari and Pashto.
Hamed Wardak was born in Afghanistan, but has spent most of his adult life in the United States. He considers himself to be both an Afghan and an American, and plays an active role in US-Afghanistan relations. As passionate advocate for the future of both countries, he founded the Campaign for United States and Afghanistan Partnership (CUSAP). This non-profit is guided by the belief that Afghanistan can be a strong, prospering nation and achieve sustainable security. Mr. Wardak is one of the founders of the Afghan-American Chamber of Commerce. He is a prolific writer, and has been interviewed by CNN, the BBC, and other notable news organizations regarding business, philanthropy, and foreign relations.
